Easing weather conditions on Wednesday helped firefighters get on top of dozens of blazes rampaging through regional communities across Queensland and New South Wales, some of which have destroyed homes.
More than a dozen emergency-level fires raged across the two states on Tuesday, but that number has since been reduced to four this afternoon, all in Queensland.
Crews in Queensland are hoping better conditions and a helping hand from interstate teams will help them get on top of a series of fires burning south of Warwick, including in Dalveen and Wallangarra.
