Chinese naval and air forces have surrounded the territorial waters of Taiwan as a “punishment,” with many believing this is a precursor to a war which will begin in early June. Taiwanese forces have been scrambled to respond, with naval forces form both sides facing each other down in the strait, and US forces have been put on high alert. Japan has been warned that they will “burn in hell,” if they side with Taiwan, and Taiwanese F-16s are now being equipped to fight China in the skies over Taiwan. It appears that war is closer now than it ever has been.
