The ex-husband of a former owner of a Canberra lobbying firm has used parliamentary privilege to make explosive claims about former Liberal minister Stuart Robert’s dealings with the firm.

Anthony Daly, who was also an employee of Synergy 360, provided a sworn statement to the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit, alleging the firm proposed to secretly funnel money to the then-Coalition cabinet minister through a separate entity.
Mr Daly also used parliamentary privilege to detail a conversation he had with another former co-owner of the firm, David Milo, who told him the former cabinet minister directed Centrelink and National Disability Insurance Agency leases towards properties owned by John Margerison’s companies, who controlled Synergy, and was one of Mr Robert’s key political fundraisers.
