Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to arrive in Israel on Thursday as Israeli airstrikes continue on Gaza, triggering fears of a humanitarian crisis. The Israeli army said it regained full control of communities from Hamas near the Gaza border.

As the Israeli soldiers positioned themselves for a potential ground invasion of Gaza, the U.S. said it would send additional military supplies to Israel and warned other militant groups from joining the fight.
