
Former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn joined Morning Joe to announce his run for Congress in Maryland’s 3rd Congressional District, throwing his hat in a crowded Democratic primary to replace retiring Democratic Rep. John Sarbanes. Dunn, who protected the U.S. Capitol on January 6, said the event exposed “how weak and fragile [democracy] is,” adding, “we are one election away from the extinction of democracy as we know it.”
