Rate hikes, inflation, and what the Fed is thinking

Yahoo Finance anchors Rachelle Akuffo and BRad Smith spoke with
The Wall Street Journal Chief Economics Correspondent Nick Timiraos about Fed Chair Powell’s speech at the Economic Symposium in Jackson Hole, Wyoming . Timiraos believes there are two paths the Fed is debating right now. The first is one Philaldelphia Fed President Patrick Harker laid out in an interview with Yahoo Finance, which is to “hold where they are right now and then stay there for longer,” according to Timiraos. The other suggestion Timiraos is hearing is that maybe the Fed should “go up a little faster and if you have to cut sooner than you think, then that’s ok.”
